5 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Wait to Sign Up for Charisa

CHARISA IS LIVE! We have extended time for mentors to sign up and join our platform!

Here are five reasons why you should run to sign up:

Reason #1: It’s FREE

The Women Who Create team has made sure cost is not a barrier to any of our work. We never want mentorship or resources to be a burden for women of color! From what we’ve seen on the market so far, most platforms that promise resources and connections to women or diverse people require a high investment. Take advantage of our free platform now!

Reason #2: It provides ACCESS to support you might not have

You can’t succeed in isolation, although many of us try! We know there is a lack of support when it comes to women of color in the corporate industry (or really any industry!) and we want to provide alternative ways to connect to people who might help you navigate your path. Our aim is that Charisa will have a wide range of mentors in the creative industry who have been where you are and are ready to help. Is that person you??

Reason #3: It’s an opportunity to BUILD your network

We all know the saying, “your network is your net worth!” And it’s true! The stronger your network, the easier it will be to navigate landing your next opportunity. With Charisa, as a mentee you will be able to connect with up to five potential mentors at once. Mentors will be able to deny/accept your request, and the conversation can begin!

Charisa is not only a place for mentees to thrive. If anyone has been in a mentorship relationship, they know that both mentee AND mentor get SO much out of it. If you’ve been wanting to practice giving feedback, providing oversight, gain confidence, or help career plan, this is a great opportunity! And you never know, this world is small, and your mentee might hook you up with a cool opportunity in the future.

Reason #4: You could start NEW FRIENDSHIPS

You COULD be one click away from a life-changing friendship. While a mentorship relationship can start out as professional, it doesn’t mean it can’t grow into friendship. Lots of our past mentors and mentees have stayed connected long after the “mentorship” piece, and have become friends and confidantes, or even team mates together at the same company. Since our platform is now global, you never know who you might meet, where you might travel, what opportunities could be in store!

Reason #5: It could help you GROW as a person

Staying in the same bubble with the same people and same thinking can be stifling as a human. With the opportunity to have a new perspective on your career path or situation, it could open doors to epiphanies you wouldn’t have had if you hadn’t met this person. For both the mentor and the mentee, there are so many ways to grow in this relationship. Whether it’s being put on to a new podcast, getting stellar advice about a situation, learning how to TikTok, or just knowing you are making a difference and positively impacting another person. There’s nothing else quite like it.
