Who we are

Job Summary:

The Senior Art Director (Sr. AD) collaborates with the Art team in generating and executing creative concepts from idea to design through the finished product. They ensure projects are completed on time and meet the highest standards of design excellence, gaining experience and exposure with additional members of the creative department and network. This role requires effective understanding of IPG Health departmental procedures and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, visually compelling content.

Essential Functions:

Art Direction & Creative Execution:

- Participate in creating initial layouts and well-designed materials while maintaining quality control, agency process, and legal requirements.

- Analyze and interpret data from clinical studies, presentations, and published papers to identify design opportunities.

- Mentor and train junior team members.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate and communicate with team members to ensure goals are met and maintain the creative vision outlined for the agency.

- Maintain relationships with different agency departments including Editorial, Account, Strategy, and Project Management.

Strategic Thinking:

- Understand marketing plans, objectives, and strategies, contributing innovative ideas appropriate to the client's marketing strategy and audience needs.

Administration:

- Maintain a detail-oriented and accurate approach to administrative duties.

- Complete timesheets, expenses, and other administrative duties accurately and on a timely basis.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

- Develop creative and effective advertising concepts from ideation through final projects.

- Create layouts in sketch and/or digital formats for assigned projects.

- Adhere to legal, medical, and regulatory guidelines.

- Maintain quality control throughout campaign execution.

- Communicate with team members regarding deadlines, revisions, and new work.

- Work with Copywriter to support creative approaches to communicate brand personality and messages.

- Understand the creative brief and contribute innovative ideas.

- Understand marketing plans and objectives.

- Complete timesheets, expenses, and other administrative duties accurately and on time.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Art and Design, or related field (Preferred).

Experience:

2+ years of experience in Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Art and Design, or related field (Required).
