Job Summary:

The Senior Copywriter (Sr. CW) collaborates with brand copy teams to research, create, and write copy that properly reflects the client’s strategy. This role involves supporting the generation of unique and innovative materials for brand(s)/client(s), from draft stage to final copy. The Sr. CW will engage in revising/writing manuscripts, referencing, and annotating client medical, legal, or regulatory submissions. Collaboration with Art and Editorial teams ensures accurate content presentation. Additionally, this role entails mentoring and training junior team members, demonstrating evolving management skills.

Essential Functions:

Copywriting and Creative Execution:

- Write in a clear and concise manner while maintaining quality control, proper grammar, and adherence to agency processes, client referencing, and legal requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members to ensure goals are met and to maintain the creative vision outlined for the agency.

Strategic Thinking:

- Demonstrate knowledge of marketing plans including objectives, strategies, and measurement of success.

Administration:

- Maintain timely, detail-oriented, and accurate approaches to administrative duties.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Copywriting and Creation Execution:

- Conduct research, analyze, and interpret data from clinical studies, presentations, and published papers.

- Create copy content for assigned projects aligned with strategy and in language that is original, compelling, distinctive, and synergistic with art/graphics.

- Perform proofing/editing on all copy, paying strict attention to details of copy/art agreements.

- Understand and implement agency/client review and routing systems; revise agency copy, identify problems or inconsistencies, and resolve them by reviewing with supervisor/account services.

- Logically organize material from various sources to create a compelling narrative/story flow.

- Deliver solid work across a range of audiences and brands.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Understand and maintain relationships with different agency departments including Editorial, Account, Strategy, and Project Management.

- Communicate with team members regarding deadlines, revisions, quality control, and new work.

- Collaborate with the Art teams to support creative approaches to communicate brand personality and messages for both the overall campaign and individual materials.

- Proactively approach supervisor with new ideas and suggestions for personal career growth and team dynamics.

- Mentor and train junior team members.

Strategic Thinking:

- Understand the creative brief and its role in creative evolution, considering client feedback.

- Contribute innovative ideas appropriate to the client's marketing strategy and audience needs.

Administration:

- Demonstrate a detail-oriented and organized approach to daily responsibilities.

- Complete timesheets, expenses, and all other administrative duties accurately and on a timely basis.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field (Preferred)

Experience:

Minimum 2+ years of experience in Marketing/Advertising Business (Preferred)
